Week 4 of the 2026 Esports World Cup has officially concluded. Street Fighter 6, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Overwatch all crowned champions at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, delivering historic victories, breakout performances, and unforgettable moments. As the Club Championship race tightened, Week 4 proved once again that at EWC, every title must be earned.
Group Stage & Playoffs
The Street Fighter 6 crowd witnessed the rise of a new prodigy in 15-year-old Hinao. Promoted from REJECT's youth roster just two months earlier to compete alongside fighting game legend Daigo Umehara, the young Japanese player immediately proved he belonged on the biggest stage.
After rebounding from an early loss to eventual runner-up Hibiki in the Group Stage, Hinao fought his way into the Finals Bracket and continued his impressive run, narrowly missing the Grand Final with a thrilling 5-4 semifinal defeat to Hibiki before ultimately finishing third.
Group Stage & Club Championship
The clash between Team Vitality and Team Falcons PH reignited a rivalry that began at the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025, this time with major Club Championship implications. Team Falcons PH claimed a convincing 3-1 victory, eliminating one of the Saudi organization's biggest rivals in the standings and keeping its own title hopes alive.
Combined with Jaime "Craime" Bustos' historic Street Fighter 6 championship, the result completed a dramatic turnaround for Team Falcons, sending the club to the top of the Club Championship standings.

Not every Falcons roster found success in Week 4. The defending OWCS champions suffered one of the tournament's biggest upsets, crashing out of the Midseason Championship well before the podium.
After opening with a loss to Weibo Gaming, Choi "Hanbin" Han-been and Team Falcons were swept 2-0 by T1 in the elimination bracket, ending their title defense without earning Club Championship points in a result few saw coming.

Heading into Paris, G2 Esports carried one of the strangest storylines in competitive Call of Duty: Warzone. Despite consistently finishing among the top teams throughout the season, they had qualified for EWC 26 without ever winning an individual map at a LAN event.
That narrative came to an emphatic end at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, where G2 found their best form of the year. The team delivered clutch victories in Games 6 and 11 of the Group Stage to finish second overall, earning a direct berth in the Grand Final.
