EWC25 Week 1 Overview

The first week of the Esports World Cup 2025 will kick off with no less than six competitions and the Opening Ceremony on July 10th. This all leads up to a packed championship weekend, with winners being crowned in Rennsport, FATAL FURY: COTW, VALORANT and the ALGS.

VALORANT at EWC 25
With the qualifiers, play-offs and finals all being held within the span of six days, the first week of the Esports World Cup is going to be filled with a lot of explosive VALORANT action. The attending 16 teams will begin battling on July 8th at 12PM KSA. After three days of play the remaining teams will continue in a single elimination bracket culminating in a grand final on July 13th. The final starts at 12PM KSA and is being preceded by the third place decider starting at 11AM KSA.
Dota 2 at EWC 25
Dota 2 at the Esports World Cup 2025 will feature sixteen of the best teams in the world competing through three stages on their quest for the title and a part of the $3 million prize pool. All sixteen teams will face off in a round-robin group stage, with the twelve best qualifying for a gauntlet bracket deciding the finalists later in the week. Talon and Natus’Vincere will kick the action off on July 8th at 12PM KSA.
Rennsport at EWC 25
The Rennsport racing competition starts with a last chance qualifier where six teams compete for the last three group stage tickets. They will join the top three seeds from their regular season to see who can drive their way to the biggest part of the $500,000 prize pool. Last Chance Qualifier races start at 3PM KSA, with the three team finals being held on July 11th from 1PM KSA.
FATAL FURY:COTW at EWC 25
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will see 16 of the best players compete in four GSL-style groups for a spot in the top-8 single elimination bracket. They will start their fight for a share of the 1 million Dollar prizepool at 6PM KSA, with the final two fighters facing off from 11:30PM KSA on July 12th.
Apex Legends at EWC 25
Forty of the best Apex Legends teams will brawl at the Esports World Cup in two groups of twenty starting on July 10th at 4PM KSA. Half of those teams will continue to fight across no fewer than 30 games in a matchpoint format on July 13th at 6PM KSA. The winning team of that breakneck session will be crowned champion and goes home with the largest share of the $2 million prize pool.
MSC at EWC 25 (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang)
MLBB fans will be able to watch top tier play to their hearts content throughout the coming weeks, with tournaments spreading across the first three weeks of the Esports World Cup. First up is the MSC at EWC 25 Wildcard tournament that offers eight teams a chance at a final spot for the main stage starting July 23rd. The first wildcard match kicks off on July 10th at 12PM KSA, with the final decider being played on July 13th at 12PM KSA.
EWC Opening Ceremony
The Esports World Cup Opening Ceremony promises to be a spectacular entertainment experience. A red carpet featuring celebrities and a star studded performance line-up consisting of Post Malone, Dino of SEVENTEEN, Duckwrth, The Word Alive, Alesso, and Tina Guo.
