Club of the Week Award
DN Freecs claimed the TEKKEN 8 at 2025 Esports World Cup trophy and added a few hundred more points with a strong showing in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. The Korean club has now cemented its place on the Club Championship leaderboard. While they won’t be climbing any higher in the standings, DN Freecs still stands tall as the 2025 Esports World Cup club of the week.
Player of the Week Award
In a bracket filled with star-studded South Korean talent, Lim "Ulsan" Soo-hoon proved that he is the best of the best during TEKKEN 8 at 2025 Esports World Cup. He is the second entrant at EWC 25 to win back-to-back titles, joining an incredibly exclusive group of players. Ulsan is the 2025 Esports World Cup player of the week.

Teamfight Tactics at 2025 Esports World Cup
Weibo Gaming puts China on top once again
Weibo Gaming had a near-flawless run during TFT at EWC 25, demonstrating consistent dominance throughout the tournament. After advancing from their group stage undefeated, they dropped only two games in the playoffs, once to AEGIS and once to Virtus.pro. Their analysis, teamwork, and gameplay execution proved far superior to their competitors and brought the EWC gold back to China for the second consecutive year.
Yin "Saopimi" Shengjie earned the SONY MVP title for his stellar performance. In a post-match interview, he remained humble, saying, “I believe this MVP doesn’t belong to me alone; this award goes to everyone on the team.”

Ulsan earns a second Esports World Cup trophy
Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon achieved the impossible. He became the second competitor to win back-to-back EWC titles after taking first place in TEKKEN8 at EWC 25. His road to the trophy was difficult, losing only one set to Kim “Kkokkoma” Mu-jong in the opening match of the second phase. That loss sent him to an elimination match against EVO 2025 champion Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique, where he secured a 2-1 victory and later earned his revenge over Kkokkoma in the decider match to qualify for the playoffs.
After dominant wins over Japan’s Shinya “PINYA” Yamaguchi and Kim “CBM” Jae-hyun, he faced Yoon “LowHigh” Sun-woong in the finals, claiming a 5-2 victory over his fellow South Korean. With this win, he earned $550,000 in tournament earnings, making him the highest-earning TEKKEN 8 player to date.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup
Twisted Minds secure their second 2025 title in Riyadh
At EWC 25, Twisted Minds proved that when it comes to the battle royale genre, there’s no one better in the business. After claiming gold in COD Warzone at EWC 25 just a week prior, the club also secured the top spot in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS at 2025 Esports World Cup.
These two victories earned them a total of 2,000 Club Championship points, keeping them in contention for the overall Club Championship first-place prize. With just one week left in the EWC, the race to the top promises to be incredibly close.

Rocket League featured at 2025 Esports World Cup
Karmine Corp races to a 4-1 finals victory
After just two games, the final already felt decided. Karmine Corp dominated the best-of-seven series, only conceding a single game to Geeky Esports in the fourth. The French club bulldozed its way through the competition, with its only real scare coming in a nail-biting group stage match against NRG.
With the victory, Karmine Corp secures $400,000 in prize money and rises to 11th place in the Club Championship rankings, joining a tie with several other clubs.
With dozens of matches taking place over the next week, new legends will rise as winners are crowned and rivals are toppled. Watch the Esports World Cup 2025 live or check out the ticket options to watch the games in person!
