About
The Characters: Overwatch 2 is a 5v5 role-based hero shooting game where you’ll need a lot more than aim if you want to win. Players must master and dominate in their role, whether it’s spearheading the assault as a Tank, confirming eliminations as a DPS, or keeping your team alive and in the fight as a Support. With a 43-character roster, there is plenty of room for strategy and variety in any given match. Anything can happen!
The Plot: Overwatch 2 offers a variety of competitive modes in rotation:
Control, Escort, Flashpoint, Hybrid, Push, and Clash. It features 30 maps in standard play across all six of those modes. That's when the chaos unfolds — every hero has their own role but teams work together to combine ultimates and traverse the map to get to the point.
Why: As one of the most enduring hero shooters ever, Overwatch 2 has a global fanbase and the competition at the EWC will feature the greatest players Overwatch 2 can muster!

CoD: Warzone at EWC 2026 Champion: G2 Esports Redeem Themselves
G2 Esports defeated 15 other teams to secure the Warzone Resurgence Series Championship at the Esports World Cup 2026. In the 11-game Grand Final series, the European club reached Match Point in Game 10 before closing out the championship one game later. Congratulations to G2 Esports on the title victory.
